About Paul ArmstrongLocal coach. Real results.
I've spent around 20 years helping people get fitter, stronger and more confident. Most of them in and around Alcester.

Why I do this
In November 2012 I opened Strong Arms Gym on Arden Road with Tom Gold. We wanted an open-plan warehouse gym for people who were serious about their health and fitness, and sessions that were more challenging and more interesting than your run-of-the-mill commercial gym.
A lot has changed since then, but the idea hasn't. Most people don't need hours in the gym or a diet that bans everything they enjoy. They need something simple enough to stick to when life gets busy, a coach who keeps them accountable, and a group of people to show up with.
That's what I've built: group classes, 1-to-1 training, and the KickStart Method, which puts all of it into six weeks. I'm a dad of two sporty boys myself, so I know what a full week looks like.
I also run Junior Strength & Fitness for 10 to 14 year olds, and coach strength and conditioning for Alcester RFC's senior players, now in my third season with the club.

What I believe
No banned foods
If a plan means giving up everything you like, you won't stick to it. So we don't do that.
Short and consistent
Two or three good sessions a week, every week, beats a heroic fortnight and then nothing.
Nobody does it alone
A coach and a crew who notice when you're missing. That's what keeps people coming back.
I would recommend it to anyone. Paul has been incredible and been there every step of the way!
